These are great plates. I love that they are a Minnesota product and that I can be sure they are non toxic. Excellent quality. A significant design flaw is that they don’t stack well. They’re always in danger of sliding off the cupboard shelf.

The plates are beautiful. Each one was individually wrapped in plastic though. We purchased these to try and go plastic-free in our office though! Other than that, the product itself is nice.

Happy to find these 8x8 wooden sandwich plates at the best price anywhere! Beautiful!  Plus these have a deeper lip than our 20+ year daily use older ones.  Sensible for an active household, on boats, and in camps. Lightweight, do not chip or break (at least not easily), retain heat of hot foods, provide a cutting surface for such foods, and have a wonderful hand feel that is Not plastic. For boating they are quieter in the cupboard and float if dropped overboard.  Who wants a big plate for just some scrambled eggs or omelet with toast, a sandwich, a burrito, or a burger?   The cutting surface is kind to knives. Resulting scratches on the surface attest to their authenticity. Rubbing with oil hides many such scratches. No worries, wood cutting boards are proven more hygienic than others. Also, use wood bowls for oatmeal and soup to keep them warmer longer -- get the squared ones so can sip last goodness from a corner.
